COVID-19 threw a wrench in the works

May 2020 Update (it has been a couple of months since our last update):
 
While we are all Sheltering in Place, progress is still being made on our property thanks to a few dedicated folks!
 
Before we give you an update - I just wanted to comment on how beautiful our property has shown during the live or streamed services on Sunday mornings.  We have such a beautiful property! Although, in some of the camera shots it is showing its wear - we're working on that!!!
Just a few of the updates to the property since our last update:

• A second toilet was purchased and installed in the woman's breezeway bathroom
• The new dishwasher has been received and installed (not really used yet!)
• New lights have been added or replaced using LED lighting to the office building as well as the parking area
• A new irrigation system and valves have been installed, replacing the old that was not working
• We are in the process of selecting paint for the inside of the social hall and once selected will begin painting
• The Wednesday Work Crew (WWC) is back!! Rest assured they are following appropriate social distancing!  We are so grateful for all that they do!

The biggest news for the Property Committee is that it has put a hold on the major capital expenses for the time being.  We were getting prepared to complete the final sewer work (about $12k) as well as the termite tenting on the Social Hall (about $6k).  As we reviewed the financials for these expenditures with the finance committee and the council it was clear that the Capital Drive funds were lower than anticipated and decided to hold off on the loan from the PoP+Zion Fund until the church could more clearly see its financial future.
