Wednesday Work Crew—meets every Wednesday morning to keep up the Prince of Peace (PoP) property, laugh, and share coffee at 10:00am. A great group for those who like to feel a sense of accomplishment through indoor and outdoor light work. Gardening, painting, repairs, cleaning, and more. Whatever your interest, we need! Movement Group—every 1st and 3rd Saturday, led by Pastor Sara. Join us at Campbell Park for a brief spiritual reflection, then we all MOVE in whatever way we feel on the lovely Los Gatos Creek Trail. Choir - working together to produce something beautiful. Choir welcomes everyone regardless of perceived skill level. Rehearse on Thursday evenings. Sing on Sunday mornings as your schedule allows. Camping & Hiking - there is no better way to appreciate God's Creation than hiking and camping in our area. Excursions for all ages or specialized groups: middle & high-school, women, men, etc. Trips are announced throughout the year. Linus Blanket Makers - meets monthly to socialize while they tie knots into fleece blankets that are then donated to the Linus Project. Scraps are turned into pet-toys too. All ages welcome (bring the kids when they are out of school)! Next Faithful Steps Group—a group passionate about following Jesus’ call to do justice, love mercy, and walk humbly with God. If you are interested in advocacy, volunteering your time, or talking through some of the difficulties or struggles in our community and country, this group is for you! Their gatherings have included raising money for reproductive rights, sharing resources on immigration, education and awareness. Adopt-a-Highway - gathers every 4-8 weeks to clear trash from highway 85 northbound between Saratoga Ave & DeAnza. Our team has been active for over 5 years. Pickleball - monthly after worship gather in the parking lot to learn and play pickleball. All ages welcome, we will teach you the ins and outs of the game. Mom’s of Young Adults—meets monthly for fellowship, fun and care while navigating parenting of adults. Moms of Young Kids Group—meets regularly at homes, parks, or church for fun and support . Rebekah Circle—ages 60 plus women who meet monthly for Bible Study and dessert. Weavers Circle-a wonderful group of all ages and life stages who read, meet and care for one another. Junior High- Confirmation classes for kids sixth through eight grade. Learn about Lutheran and other faith beliefs, go on excursions just for fun to build lasting relationships that will carry into high school youth group. Youth Group—see our Youth page for more information! Led by Drew Ajer and meets most Sunday mornings after church. Young Adults - this is generally 18-25ish year olds that have graduated high school an are trying to navigate the next steps in life. Young Professionals - 25 to 35ish, a little more settled, but still trying to figure things out together... Book Club —the group discusses a book of the group’s choosing, not usually church related. Book and meeting date is shared in the monthly newsletter. Picnics, Dinners, etc - there are many opportunities throughout the year to gather over FOOD. Whether it is small gatherings in someone's home, prepping for our annual Youth fundraiser, or just a summer picnic, attending one of our food events is a great way to meet people Table Talks - dinner and small group discussion on a topic that builds empathy and connection. Theology "Pub" - now in private homes and backyards, Theology Pub gives you a chance to have a deeper discussion on current events and how they relate to biblical teachings. Women's Retreat - an annual weekend getaway where we renew our spirits by connecting to each other Service volunteering - a great way to get to know others. |
