We “Celebrate God’s grace and glory” through worship. All are welcome to enjoy worship at Prince of Peace. Communion is open to all baptized persons of faith.
Worship could not run smoothly with out the small army of volunteers that make it happen. The following activities are essential to our worship together. Contact the church office if you would like to help.
Lectors read the Sunday scripture lessons during the morning worship service. No experience necessary.
Lector Coordinator, Maria, will contact you with potential dates. Contact Maria
Volunteer members who hand out bulletins, collect the offering, assist in guiding members through communion. People willing to help during the service. Date assignments are chosen by Ushers through the scheduler.
Usher instructions
Counters work in pairs (for auditing purposes) to count the weekly Sunday offering. Count directly after the 10:30 service and make the deposit to church account. They serve on a rotational basis, 2 consecutive Sundays each quarter. Contact the office to get involved.
Communion hosts assist Pastor in serving Sunday service communion. They are recruited by Church Council Members (often a fe minutes before the service.)
Volunteer members who enjoy singing and using their talents to praise the Lord
Provide leadership for congregational response during the 10:30 service
Also provide special holiday music and Christmas caroling to shut-ins
Choir Practice is held Thursday evenings, 7:30 PM

Composed of a variety of musicians, many of whom are active members of the congregation
Emphasis is on upbeat, singable music that brings glory to God and creates an atmosphere of worship
Plays 2nd and 4th Sundays of the month
Open to all youth with an interest in sharing the spirit through music, regardless of skill level
Plays the 3rd Sunday of the month at either the 9:00 am or both Worship services
Performs both contemporary and traditional pieces
Rehearses every Sunday night from 5:00 - 6:30 pm

Sound board volunteers run the sound board in the sanctuary during the Sunday services. Ideal for people who are comfortable and enjoy working with a computers and technology.
Alter Guild prepares the Sunday service Eucharist for Holy Communion, change paraments, refill the altar candles, eternal light, dust sanctuary when needed, fill baptismal font. After second Sunday service they wash cups and patens. set-up work is usually done on Saturdays. If you would like to get involved contact the office.
Tech team advises Staff and Council on technology decisions for office and buildings. they perform computer maintenance and upgrades as needed. There are no regular scheduled meetings. Let Pastor know if you would like to be involved.
