Health Kits for Disaster Relief

Donations can be dropped off in the marked box located in the Narthex. Items needed include:

  • Hand towels
  • Wash cloths
  • 4-5 oz. bars of soap
  • Combs
  • Band-aids
  • Metal nail files or clippers with a metal nail file
  • Toothbrushes
  •  

    The Lord’s Pantry

    The Lord's Pantry food collection —Hunger is not just a holiday problem. Because there are people in our area going hungry year round we collect the 3rd Sunday of every month. Needed items always include

  • powdered milk,
  • cereal,
  • spaghetti sauce,
  • tomato sauce,
  • canned tomatoes,
  • jam and jelly,
  • mac & cheese,
  • canned soup,
  • peanut butter,
  • Spam,
  • canned chicken,
  • corned beef,
  • canned turkey,
  • ham,
  • salmon,
  • tuna,
  • rice pasta (1 lb size),
  • soy sauce,
  • canned fruit,
  • canned vegetables,
  • cookies,
  • juices,
  • crackers,
  • and baby food.

  • Needed fresh items include apples, oranges, pears, potatoes, yellow onions.

    Food item should be dropped off in the Narthex the 3rd Sunday of the month. In addition, blankets, sleeping bags and warm clothing are also desperately needed and should be dropped off in the Narthex with the food.

    Remaining 2010 dates include: July 18, August 15, September 19, October 17, November 21, and December 19.

     

    Family Supportive Housing, Inc. (San Jose Family Shelter)

    We are looking for volunteers to help cook and serve dinners (and clean up, too) for the San Jose Family Shelter. The next dates are Sunday, July 11; and Saturday, October 30, 2010. If you are interested in cooking, shopping, or serving please send an email to the office by the Friday before the event.

     

    Emergency Meals

    Emergency meal providers are "on call" to bring a meal to a family on short notice. It could be families with a new baby and unfamiliar routine, someone with a long term illness, or recovering from surgery. What ever the need our Emergency Meal team shares their gifts with you.
