Sara Pearson – Intern

Contact Sara

Sara is the new intern pastor at Prince of Peace. She is a student of Pacific Lutheran Theological Seminary in Berkeley, and will be with us through June of 2010. Sara is splitting her internship year between PoP and St Luke in Sunnyvale, alternating days and Sundays with us.

Sara grew up in Omaha, Nebraska and attended a small Lutheran college near her hometown. Her summers were spent in the mountains of Colorado at Rainbow Trail Lutheran Camp. She attributes much of her love for creation, passion for the environment, and interest in all things active to her time there. After college, Sara spent a year in the mountains, a season as a kayak and hiking guide in southeast Alaska, and two years in Senegal as a Peace Corps Volunteer. From there, she worked as a home care assistant for the elderly in Denver.

Sara is excited to learn from and help with the ministry at Prince of Peace. She is passionate about inter-generational community and being involved in the faith journeys of the people of Prince of Peace. She hopes to combine her life experiences and passions into a deeper sense of call and vocation in the Lutheran church.
